NASCAR Youth Series Gears up for Auto Club Speedway


As the NASCAR Youth Series presented by COOKOUT gears up for Auto Club Speedway, we look back at the same race exactly 1 year ago at Auto Club Speedway. Winners from the race got to go to pre race ceremonies for the NASCAR Cup Series, as well as meet tons of NASCAR drivers!


Drivers also got the chance to meet Christopher Bell, the Grand Marshall for the race. Who will be the Grand Marshall for the race in 2023 you ask? Stay tuned!


Registration for the first stop on the NASCAR Youth Series tour has opened, and drivers from 17 DIFFERENT STATES have already checked in for the challenge!

In 2022, only a single driver, Jace Hale in the Light 160 class, came from a lower main to win the A main. He was set to start 5th in the B main after going from 2nd to 3rd in his heat race. He went on to finish 2nd in the B main, transferring to the A main and eventually going on to win the A main. Will 2023 see more winners from the lower mains? Here is a look at the winners from 2022, as well as the starting positions that the drivers came from to win:

Junior Honda: Kasen Koroshes (Started 2nd in A Main)

Heavy Honda: Reed Whitney (Started 1st in A Main)

Junior 160: Gauge Kimler (Started 3rd in A Main)

Light 160: Jace Hale (Started 8th in A Main)

Heavy 160: Max Reaves (Started 2nd in A Main)

Junior Animal: Kameren Koroshes (Started 3rd in A Main)

Senior Animal: Jace Hale (Started 2nd in A Main)

Unrestricted Animal: Max Reaves (Started 1st in A Main)

Light World Formula: Drew Sherman (Started 4th in A Main)

Heavy World Formula: Max Reaves (Started 1st in A Main)

Formula Modified: Jackson Diehl (Started 2nd in A Main)
