The NASCAR Youth Series has introduced the Petty Performance EDGE program, an initiative designed to identify and support emerging talents in youth racing. Out of over 160 entries, 48 drivers have been selected as finalists. These finalists will compete for the opportunity to be crowned one of the two winners of the program.
Launched in early 2025, the Petty Performance EDGE (Excellence, Development,
Growth, Education) program is an elite driver development initiative. Designed to
provide top youth competitors with unparalleled access to training, mentorship, and
competition, the program attracted over 160 applicants from across the United States.
After a rigorous selection process, 48 drivers have been chosen based on their
performance, character, and passion for motorsports. These talented young
athletes will now enter the next stage of the program.
The initial selection to result in the 48 drivers shown below consisted of NASCAR Youth
Series drivers only, driver racing experience, driver racing engagement, and driver
social media engagement. Following the round of 48 will be three additional selection
rounds, based on driver academic performance, continued social media engagement
and racing skills/growth on the track and behind the wheel since the season started.
